Summary: ATI R500 xset dpms force off (and standby) broken
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
        ReportedBy: fd4u at vplace.de
         QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org

Hi,

I'm testing the newest and greatest Xorg and mesa build for my ATI R500 card on
a Thinkpad T60. Unfortunately it looks like I can't switch the LCD panel of
this notebook off. The driver disables it - but re-enables it right after that
again (to blank it).

Xorg.0.log:
[...]
Output 23 disable success
Blank CRTC 0 success
Disable CRTC 0 success
Blank CRTC 1 success
Disable CRTC 1 success
Output 23 disable success
Blank CRTC 0 success
Disable CRTC 0 success
Enable CRTC 0 success
Unblank CRTC 0 success
Output 23 enable success

Please note the second "Blank CRTC 0 success" after "Output 23 disable
success". I think (but I'm not sure) that this is what I see as "re-enabled
screen" right?
