Correctly configuring dual head

Ok. I've reverted back to normal mode because of this.

There is however another problem:

If I connect my external monitor via DVI-0 I get sound hiccups. Every ten or 
so seconds the sound starts to stutter.

If I connect the external monitor via VGA-0 there is no problem with sound. 

Is this a known problem?
